Other Information
*Entry previously assigned this ID has been relocated to the section "Mail Pouch in Other Places' as Other 15 (Garage-Owner painted).*

The brick building with the Mail Pouch sign is visible toward the center of the photo on the opposite bank of the River. This building would have been along Linden Ave. (old Water St.). The old wooded dam was constructed in 1815. In 1951 a barge broke loose and cut the hole in the dam. In three months time the water behind the dam was significantly reduced in flow. This information helped to establish the date of the photo. The flow of the river and the partial view of the by-pass channel wall in the foreground help to establish the location as being near the bank of the river in the West Zanesville side of the river.
Where to find it
*GONE (building razed)* Along Linden Ave. (old Water St.) in West Zanesville. Two story brick building. Black background. The Mail Pouch sign faced southwest.
